An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
